Kathryne Fraser

Kathryne joined Hold the Drama as a trustee keen to use her knowledge of charity governance to help Hold the Drama grow as a registered charity.

A former Citizens Advice welfare rights adviser, Kathryne went on to enjoy a lengthy career at Sheffield University Students’ Union progressing from Welfare Services Manager to Deputy Director.  In between Kathryne oversaw the expansion of the SU’s participation and engagement programmes, recognised nationally for quality and innovation, and secured external grant funding to develop community volunteering and student leadership opportunities.

After taking early retirement from the Students’ Union, Kathryne worked as a freelance charity law and governance trainer before a period as Assistant Clerk for a large Parish Council.

With expertise in policy development, risk management, charity governance and local government administration, Kathryne hopes to see Hold the Drama expand, connect with more young people and adults, and tell even more stories through music.

Kathryne lives in the Peak District, enjoying a part-time job as a Visitor Assistant for the Peak National Park, is a member of a community allotment and enjoys walking, current affairs, cinema and cooking.
